University of North Carolina at Pembroke

The University of North Carolina at Pembroke is a master’s-level university with a spirited community of over 8,300 students.

Robeson Community College

Robeson Community College is a two-year public institution established in 1965 with nearly 3,000 students enrolled each year. Robeson Community College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the associate degree.  Most programs offered by the College have been approved for the enrollment of eligible veterans. RCC is also accredited by the North Carolina Board of Nursing, Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs and the Joint Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education, Accreditation Review Committee on Education in Surgical Technology, and the North Carolina Board of Cosmetic Arts and Redken Laboratories in New York, New York.

With 24,000 students and 41 school sites, the Public Schools of Robeson County is the ninth largest system in North Carolina. Workforce development initiatives managed by the system enable students to perform tasks and enhance skills required to perform well in the “world of work”. These initiatives and others stress the key role of technology in the workplace. A Director of Technology oversees execution of the Public School System Technology Plan. All work-related/work-preparation programs emphasize development of employment skills required to pursue career interests successfully following graduation. These attributes are the foundation for developing a highly trained and skilled workforce.
